#MENTALHEALTH It is now that time where we must fight back against excessive restrictions. Closing non-essential indoor spaces made perfect sense, but once we start telling people they're not allowed to go to a park & take a walk, we start becoming a totalitarian state. It's true, some parks were ridiculously overcrowded, such as Batsto, but New Jersey (as well as Ocean County) could have restricted parking and counted cars to limit the amount of people coming into the park. They didn't, and have decided instead to close all the parks. This is unenforceable, as it is impossible to "close the woods to all". I need to go for my sanity, and I expect that I may encounter police harassment at some point as I now expect parks may be closed here in New York as well to avoid people from New Jersey coming here. I MUST GO TO THE PINE BARRENS. THE ALTERNATIVE FOR ME IS A NERVOUS BREAKDOWN. ANYONE WHO COMES WITHIN 6 FEET OF ME, INCLUDING LAW ENFORCEMENT, WILL BE VIOLATING SOCIAL DISTANCING GUIDELINES THEMSELVES. JUST LET ME HIKE!
