This hurts to watch. Ow. If you start perusing the internet for hardcore obstacle courses that crush you all the way down to your soul, you're bound to come across the Darby Queen. During the first phase of Ranger School, candidates have to navigate two miles of obstacles at a fast pace... and they're already pretty broke off at that point. Some people fly through it like a ninja hopped up on caffeine, and others... well, they sort of barrel through it like a rhino on a tightrope. A lot of people have dropped out of Ranger School during the Darby Queen, either unable to navigate the obstacles or finding that it's their final straw in the brutal school.
The course is a cornerstone of Ranger School, and (as seen in the video) it's also a part of the Best Ranger Competition. Even by Ranger standards, these guys are on point — but to put it into perspective, this isn't exactly their first series of obstacles for the day. They're smoked, sleep deprived, hungry... and they're still crushing it.
