Is UK Coronavirus Advice Really Scientific?

From the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, the UK government has consistently made scientific pronouncements that are against the concensus internationally. The latest example is in not advising the public to wear medical face masks, but this is for fear of supplies being strained further, rather than being based on any sound science.
