Here is your stimulus check and stimulus package update for Tuesday, April 28th we're talking about social security, SSI, non filers payment status, not available. I even have some IRS portal fixes I want to share with you. We're talking about the second wave of stimulus payments, unemployment, and so much more.
All right, so first things first with the news, we got social security survivors and disability non filers.
You guys should be receiving your payments April 29th if you haven't had a chance to go into the IRS portal yet, you probably haven't seen this message. But for those of you who have been able to log in, it's familiar now that April 29th is supposedly the day for you guys to getting your money and it should be in your bank account.
By then. Once again, that's social security survivors and disability non filers for SSI non filer payments. Those should be by May 5th so early may as we expected somethings you might be getting it a little sooner than then the money of course it's going to come however you currently receive your benefits, so if that's direct deposit, you'll get a direct deposit.
If it's the your direct express card, you can get it on your card. Now, for those of you out there with incorrect banking information on file, or maybe when you tried typing in your bank information, you actually typed it in incorrectly and it's saved. You guys technically had until today, Tuesday at noon to update that.
This past week, the get my payment portal is actually down for a few days for the IRS to be able to do massive, massive updates that we're supposed to make it more accessible to a bunch of people.
Because at the beginning, of course, it was pretty much useless with the owner of errors people were getting. If you're getting the same message as me there, then three reasons as to why you most likely have it. The first one being you're just straight up not eligible. If you know you're eligible, scratch that, but if you're not eligible, that would explain the error.
the additional $600 a week applies for thirds. Only 13 week spanned, whereas your regular unemployment goes for 39 weeks. This additional $600 is under, is thanks to the pandemic unemployment assistance. Now, when I logged into my unemployment portal. It's so confusing. All the different information in popups that keep changing every single day.
Whenever I log in, we've been told that you don't have to separately apply for this extra 600 if you collect any sort of an unemployment, even if it's just $1, you should automatically be applied to the $600 a week. But it is a little bit confusing. I have options inside my portal that are telling me to apply, but I don't think I should or I have to.
Another reason is you didn't file a 2018 slash 2019 taxes. In that case, you could use a non follows tool or whatever other resource you want end up filing those taxes. At this point, you're most likely probably going to be getting it in the mail anyways. It's a little late, but that's the second reason.
And then the last reason is problems with identity info, which I personally think was an issue for me.
If you don't know, we've got the free rent and mortgage cancellation for 12 months. That's an option. We've got the flat $2,000 a month for everyone over the age of 16. We've got the ABC act where it's $2,000 on a prepaid card and then $1,000 every month after that for up to a year after this is over.
But now it appears there's another one that has reached the house and other proposed a bill, and instead it's not going to include us, normal individuals. It's state funding and basically its whole purpose is to make sure that people like police officers, firefighters, teachers, medical personnel, it helps prevent them from being laid off.
Not quite sure how the bill works, but it's. It's interesting to know that yet another one has been proposed, but this time it's including less money for us, more for the state, and then these essential workers. I will continue to keep you guys updated and all of these brand new stimulus waves. As I know, this initial $1,200 just one time payment isn't enough for basically anyone at this point.
