The Leading Edge - archive images from our 2 tours of Denmark in 1982... these were the very early days of The Leading Edge. On the first visit we were a 4-piece - eventful times (on the word stage the Falklands War broke out while we were on tour). We were looked after so well by the fantastic Danish people, the venues and our hosts...staying in organisers' homes, even on a commune for 3 days, as well as visiting Cristiania in Copenhagen, a place like no other..!!
Later in the summer we returned as a 3-piece and that remains our line-up to this day!
As part of the tour, we stayed at a campsite just outside of Copenhagen for a few day (our cheapest option!) and, not wanting to miss any opportunity, we secretly set up our equipment inside the tent, plugged in to the shaver sockets and gave an impromtu early morning gig to the startled campers!! ... We'd love to hear from anyone who may have witnessed this!
2020: Now we're back together with renewed passion and energy to play but, for a short while, it is good to look back to those early memories!
The song that accompanies the video, "Better Start Looking Again", is an apt choice from our forthcoming album "Us" as it is all about personal reminiscences...
