"The spiritual teacher is termed as the Guru. It is the Teacher’s
consciousness which is the Guru, and the same consciousness is also
present in the disciples. The nature of Self is happiness and when we are
happy, we are closer to Self. Do you know that happiness is your very own
true nature? The Self and happiness are not two, but one. But you must have real knowledge of the Self. The worship of the Guru means to follow
His instructions strictly. Your Guru wants you to worship your
consciousness, which means, to meditate on it. Hold your consciousness by
itself and not by intellect. Our body-identification is an obstruction to true
happiness. Our true nature is beyond consciousness and also beyond all
qualities.
