How Amma Canteens in Tamil Nadu gave food free of cost to thousands during lockdown

There are more than 400 Amma Canteens in Chennai. During the lockdown all distributed three meals, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, for free. However now under Unlock 1.0 they no longer serve free food. Manisha Mondal and Revathi Krishnan went to one such canteen to find out how they function.
