Watch this video to understand a few ways that you can improve and change this, so that you build skills and feel more confident in executing your spots, as well as some key tips in getting better quality serves for an easier third ball!
-
-
Today’s service practice session involves target practice. This is one way to build placement skill on your serves!
-
-
Target practice today was done specifically at the 4 most common best spots that opponents hate to return from!
-
-
Now is a time you can work on many different services without fearing whether you will be able to use it under pressure in a match yet.
-
-
You can develop new services, and build weapons on the services you already have.. and have even better
- Consistency/Reliability
- Placement
- Spin
- More variations (long and fast, half long, slower + faster travel of serve through the air, etc)
- Lower serves (the most important one by far)!!
-
-
If you are practicing/developing new serves, I would recommend you practice without cones.
-
-
The focus during this should be finding the technique on the new serve and seeing what works/doesn’t work for you on that serve in execution.
-
-
Now is the time to try try try!!!! Experiment and practice as much service as you can in this time and keep your services as low you can!!
