Donate to the Central Florida Performing Artist Relief Fund here:
As the coronavirus pandemic makes their paychecks vanish and savings dwindle, Orlando’s performers and other theater professionals are stepping up to help their colleagues.
Donations to the fund will be used to help struggling entertainment-industry workers in Central Florida with basic needs and bills that other forms of assistance might not cover — everything from pet food to Internet service, organizers said in their announcement.
In addition to Central Florida performers, the showcase includes Broadway’s Seth Rudetsky and Justin Matthew Sargent, a University of Central Florida graduate. Chase Padgett, a former Central Floridian and Orlando Fringe favorite, also appears.
Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer recorded an appeal shown during the presentation, which aired live on April 4 but is still available to watch on YouTube.
